Steve Norman Solo<\/span><\/p>\n

The 80s. Loved by so many.<\/strong> Not only by the ones that personally witnessed this legendary decade but also by their offspring. Periodically the 80s are \"en vogue\" again, whether in fashion or music. The fashion can be argued about but the music and the hits that we associate with our \ufb01rst kiss, our \ufb01rst heartbreak, our \ufb01rst cigarette or our \ufb01rst club visit remain unforgotten and are still being sung with dedication...more than 30 years later!<\/p>\n

One gentleman who crucially helped to shape this decade is STEVE NORMAN - saxophonist, guitarist, percussionist, songwriter and founding member of the world famous cult band SPANDAU BALLET.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the early 90s, after the members of Spandau Ballet went separate ways,<\/strong> Steve moved to Ibiza and discovered his love for club & dance music. During his 13 years on the island he worked with numerous musicians and producers such as Lenny Krarup, Nacho Sotomayor, Rafa Peletey, Ketama, Stefan Zauner (M\u00fcnchener Freiheit) and DJ Pippi.<\/p>\n

Steve was also involved in various projects & compilations: Funky Jack \u201cSaxomatic\u201d, \u201cMade in Ibiza Chills n Thrills\u201d Compilation, Hed Kandi (Ministry Of Sound), Byron Stingily von \u201cTen City\u201d, Angie Brown, Sybil, Alison Limerick, Jeremy Healy, Brandon Block, DJ John Jones & K Klass, \u201cThe Collective\u201d (Promised Land \u2013 DJ Meme Mix), Cloud\ufb01sh and many more.<\/p>\n

In addition to these dance projects, Steve played saxophone, guitar, percussion, and sang for and with Holy Holy feat. Ex-\u201cSpiders from Mars\u201d Woody Woodmansey, Tony Visconti (David Bowie producer), Glen Gregory (Heaven 17), Marc Almond, Earl Slick (David Bowie guitarist), Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie bass player), Mike Garson (David Bowie keyboard player), Bernhard Fowler (The Rolling Stones backing vocalist), Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Bruce Foxton (The Jam), Mike Peters (The Alarm), Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Rusty Egan (Visage), Julian Perretta, Kim Wilde, Marty Wilde, Belinda Carlisle, Nick Heyward (Haircut 100) and the legend that is Iggy Pop.<\/p>\n

Steve is also a songwriter and solo singer. Songs like \"Motivator\" (Spandau Ballet), \"Once More\" (Spandau Ballet), \"We Are King\" (Holy Holy), numerous solo tracks and the legendary saxophone solo of the Spandau Ballet classic \"True\" were written by him.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2017 Steve formed his own 5 piece band and played 4 sold out shows in London, Madrid and Birmingham. His set includes new solo material, Steve\u2019s favourite tracks and classics from Spandau Ballet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
